Orientation Week April 1 - 8, 2016

For all international exchange students and full students who start their education at the University of Rostock, the Orientation Week for the summer semester 2016 begins on April 1st, 2016.

The International Office has organised an interesting and practical Orientation Week from April 1st – 8th 2016 to welcome newly enrolled international students and to help them with the first steps towards their studies. The International Office cooperates with the Local ERASMUS Initiative, the sports department, the language center and the university library.

The Orientation Week will start with the formal welcome of the students by the rector of the University of Rostock, Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Schareck, and by the head of the International Office, Michael Paulus. Afterwards, the staff of the International Office will inform the students how to enroll in language or sports courses and how to obtain the student cards and the semester ticket. They will also give general tips for living in Rostock.

During the Orientation Week the students can participate in a guided tour of the university library, get to know the Mensa canteen, enroll in sports courses or inform themselves about what the language center has to offer.

The program will be given due notice at the Rostock International House's news page.
