Master colloquium

The candidate has to show that she/he is able to present scientific problems, methods and results of the thesis and that she/he is able to discuss question from the audience.

The colloquium consists of a presentation of the candidate (20 minutes) and a discussion (20 minutes). The colloquium is public. The colloquium is conducted and evaluated by the two examiners of the written thesis. Usually, the colloquium is held as a public seminar at the Institute of Physics.

The colloquium is held at the latest four weeks after notification of the results of the written thesis.

The final grade for this module results  from the double weighted mark for the written thesis and the simple weighted mark for the colloquium.
